Campus Ministry Welcomes New Students

Welcome to Campus Ministry!

A very warm Welcome!  Let us be one of the many hello's you will hear from everyone here at Fordham. We are so excited to have you with us these next few years and we hope to make many good memories with you. Campus Ministry is a multifaith, student led ministry that is here to support you during your time here at Fordham.

Together with you, it is our mission to build a community where you belong, where you are known, and where you feel connected to others.  We will do this by walking with you and sharing the spiritual riches of different faith traditions, coming together in common cause to address urgent human problems such as climate change, racism, immigration, and economic disparity.

Campus Mininstry cultivates this solidarity in mission to help you discover and explore the deeper meaning and purpose of your life through programs such as Ignatian yoga, retreats (in our retreat house!), mass and liturgical ministries, choirs, interfaith programs, spirituality groups, service and justice opportunities, and so much more!

Hear from our Director of Campus Ministry, Fr. Lito in his letter to you about this remarkable journey we are embarking on together.

Welcome to Fordham, members of the Class of 2026!

All of us in Campus Ministry look forward to your arrival on campus. Your joys and hopes, your fears and
anxieties about everything in college are ours, too.

Together with you, we are committed to building a community where you belong, where you are known, and where you feel connected to others. How? By walking with you in the adventure of wisdom and learning, by sharing the spiritual riches of faith traditions in the search for God, and by making common cause to address urgent human problems in truth, in justice, and in love.

Campus Ministry cultivates this solidarity in mission to help you discover and explore the deeper
meaning and purpose of your life. Whatever your religious or spiritual background, or if you have yet to
explore one, we invite you to take advantage of what we offer throughout the year:

    • Mass and prayer services, liturgical choirs, religious feasts, and weekend spiritual retreats
    • Personal accompaniment: spiritual conversations, spiritual direction, and grief counseling
    • Community-centered activities: faith fellowships (Muslim, Jewish, Orthodox Christian, Christian),
Christian Life Communities, LGBTQ+ Ministry (devOut, Prism), Praise & Worship, and Peer Ministry
    • Direct service projects with the Pedro Arrupe Volunteers and Common Ground Conversations focusing
on food insecurity, migration, racial justice, economic and social justice, and the care of the
      environment

For more information about our programs, please visit our website, fordham.edu/cm, and follow us on
social media @fordhamcm or stop by our offices, McShane Campus Center 215 or Lowenstein 217.

Again, we are delighted to welcome you to Fordham!

    In God’s grace and peace,

    José Luis (Lito) Salazar, S.J.
    Executive Director of Campus Ministry
